Programme Description
This programme is designed to develop emotional resilience to negative stress triggers using tools that can help turn stressful situations into creative thinking environments and mindfulness techniques for developing clarity in stressful situations.
Approach
Managing stress is about taking charge: taking charge of thoughts, emotions, schedules, deadlines and negative stress triggers that sabotage your environment. Participants will learn to manage or eliminate stress triggers and learn to:
- Take control of the negative thoughts, emotions and reactions that “hijack” them.
- Adapt behaviour to manage a situation whilst staying calm under pressure.
- Become more response-able by adopting a healthy internal attitude to stress.
- Work with and balance between the SNS (sympathetic nervous system) the “fuel” that feeds stress and the PNS (parasympathetic nervous system) the “sprinkler” that cools and dampens it down.
- Identify the influence stress has on the state of both your mind and body and practice centering, flow and mindfulness techniques using simple Somatic principles.
The outcome
The ultimate goal is to maintain a sense of wellbeing by building resilience under pressure and turning problems into challenges and by managing time for work, relationships, relaxation, and fun.
